Deputy General Manager Finishing Job Opening

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy General Manager to oversee the finishing operations of our fabric mill. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in fabric finishing, leadership skills to manage large teams, and the ability to drive process improvements, cost optimization, and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the finishing department, including bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes. Ensuring adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments is essential. Additionally, the individual will monitor machine utilization, efficiency, and workflow to optimize capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
    • Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure fabrics meet customer specifications and international standards.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to suggest innovative solutions to enhance processes.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee quality control processes to guarantee consistency and reliability.
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation:
    • Drive initiatives to reduce waste, rework, and defects.
    • Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Cultivate partnerships with R&D and technical teams to explore new finishing techniques and technologies.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain certifications and audits as per customer requirements.
    • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing strict adherence to EHS guidelines.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Management or related field, with at least 12+ years of experience in fabric finishing, and at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputable fabric/textile mill.
