Financial Assurance Specialist

This role integrates financial and technical expertise to ensure seamless accounting processes, requiring a deep understanding of accounting standards, double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers, and taxation procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review business and financial requirements to design and execute test cases for accounting software.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Taxation, Payroll).
  • Validate that double-entry bookkeeping principles are applied correctly across all transactions.
  • Ensure accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of ledgers.
  • Test compliance with relevant tax rules and regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution with the development team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, accountants, and developers to refine requirements and test coverage.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of accounting workflows, including financial reporting and statutory statements.
  • Provide input on usability, performance, and accuracy from an accountant's perspective.
