Job Title: Purchase Lead

We're looking for a seasoned Supply Chain Professional to spearhead our purchase planning efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, from demand forecasting and vendor management to inventory control and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning & Projections:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and validate monthly/quarterly demand projections using historical data and sales trends.
    • Translate demand forecasts into actionable purchase plans for both perishable and non-perishable SKUs.
    • Ensure timely communication of forecast assumptions and purchase timelines with vendors.

  • Purchase & Vendor Management:

    • Coordinate with ongoing vendors to ensure timely PO issuance & delivery as per agreed timelines.
    • Monitor vendor performance on key metrics such as lead time, fulfillment rate, and product quality.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for POs, pricing, and approvals.

  • Inventory & Cost Management:

    • Optimize inventory levels across regions to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
    • Track stock cover by SKU and manage liquidation of slow-moving or ageing inventory.
    • Monitor purchase budgets and control cost deviations.

  • Reporting, Documentation & Cross-functional Sync:

    • Develop and maintain Excel-based dashboards and trackers for POs, stock cover, vendor performance, and budget utilization.
    • Collaborate closely with NPD, Warehouse, Sales, and Finance for seamless execution.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.

  • Familiarity with ERP tools and inventory planning systems is a plus.
