We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Wireless Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge wireless network solutions.

About the Role
  • Design and Test System Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and test system architecture using various devices and servers.
  • QA Validation: Perform thorough QA validation of wireless features, including end-to-end validation of client to cloud architecture.
  • Recreate Customer Issues: Replicate customer issues in a lab environment and work closely with engineering teams to resolve them efficiently.
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing using iPerf to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the CS team to review customer report defects and enhance test coverage.
  • Bug Documentation: Document bugs in Jira and track them with the engineering team.
  • Critical Issue Escalation: Escalate critical issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Technical Documentation: Create technical documentation for CS and QA teams in Confluence.
  • Tech Training and Guidance: Train and guide engineers on emerging technologies to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Lead Engineer: We require a Lead Engineer with 8+ years of experience in wireless network design and implementation.
  • Education: BE/ME/MS degree in EE, CS, or a related discipline is essential.
  • Protocol Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards is necessary for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in QA validation of enterprise-grade wireless access points is required.
  • Routing and Switching: Basic concepts of routing and switching, including VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Trunk/Native, are essential.
  • IEEE 802.1x: Experience in validating IEEE 802.1x feature using Freeradius or any standard RADIUS server is necessary.
  • Wireless Protocols: In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 protocols such as 802.11r/k/v is required.
  • Troubleshooting: Experience in troubleshooting based on wireless packet captures is essential.
  • Problem-Solving: Passion for solving customer issues and advocating for their success is crucial.
  • Quick Assessment: Ability to quickly assess technical aspects of a problem is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: CWNA/CWSP/CWAP certifications are preferred.
  • Scripting: Scripting skills in Python are beneficial.
  • ISE/ClearPass: Experience with ISE/ClearPass is an asset.
  • L2TPv3/IPsec: Basic knowledge of L2TPv3/IPsec is desired.
