We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team of technology innovators. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing and optimising data driven products and services for our product suite.

About the Role

This is a senior level position that requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering/modelling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing data products, as well as experience working with relational databases and efficient data design and access.

Responsibilities
  • Design and architect future-state solutions for our data products
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, and maintenance
  • Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical product data models
  • Assist in process and performance optimization for data access
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive professional experience in data product development, including design, development, documentation, and maintenance across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience creating secure data solutions, including avoidance and mitigation patterns for relevant current and previous OWASP top-10
  • Demonstrable experience in data modelling and tuning SQL query performance
  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and efficient data design and access (ORM, JDBC, DAO, SQL)
