Role Summary

  • This is a Senior Physical Design Engineer position responsible for the top-level floor planning, physical synthesis and placement of integrated circuits.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced low power techniques such as Voltage Islands, Power Gating, and substrate-bias at 65nm or lower node designs.

About the Role

  • As a Senior Physical Design Engineer, you will be working on ASIC projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • You will interface with front-end ASIC teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Floor planning and physical synthesis of complex ICs
  • Physical implementation of DDR2/DDR3/PCIE interfaces with timing closure
  • Low Power Design using Voltage Islands, Power Gating, and Substrate-bias techniques
  • Static Timing Analysis using Primetime or Primetime-SI

Requirements

  • Experience – 3 to 12 Years
  • Extensive knowledge in Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical Design Tools
  • Strong background in ASIC Physical Design and scripting languages such as PERL, TCL
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize work based on project needs
