Job Title: System Operations Specialist

The primary responsibility of the System Operations Specialist is to ensure the smooth operation of business and web applications, as well as related ecosystems. The application environment is primarily based on Microsoft technologies.

  • Provide production, operations support, and application administration services for business and web applications.
  • Work on all types of production support activities, including installations, configurations, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy applications, manage changes, and monitor system performance.
  • Administer applications in AWS/Azure cloud environments with a minimum of two years of experience.
  • Develop and maintain power shell scripts for automation purposes.
  • Debug network-related issues using tools like Wireshark and possess excellent knowledge of common network protocols (HTTP, FTP) and SSL.
  • Experience in supporting ASP/.Net based applications, custom developed and off-the-shelf systems.
  • Thorough understanding of monitoring systems and monitoring methodology.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent with about five years of solid experience as an application support administrator, preferably in a Microsoft oriented IT environment.
  • Excellent knowledge in administering applications in AWS/Azure cloud with a minimum of two years of experience.
  • Strong expertise in Web Server Knowledge - IIS, Apache web server.
  • Good understanding of common network protocols (HTTP, FTP) and SSL along with knowledge of debugging network related issues using various available tools like Wireshark.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
