Job Title:

Steel Plant Head

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of steel manufacturing projects.

This role involves overseeing all aspects of project management from inception to completion within the pipe manufacturing sector.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Lead the execution of pipe manufacturing projects ensuring adherence to established plans and schedules.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
    • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
    • Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards in pipe production.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and mentor project teams fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and address concerns.
    • Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management.
    • Manage relationships with contractors suppliers and regulatory bodies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and address issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
    • Ensure contingency plans are in place for unforeseen challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Civil A Masters degree or relevant certifications is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 20+ years in pipe manufacturing or related industries with at least 5 years in a senior project management role.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of pipe manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in managing large-scale pipe manufacturing projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
