We are seeking a highly skilled Steel Detailer and Procurement Specialist to support our operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural and architectural steel fabrication, be able to read and interpret complex drawings, and have experience preparing takeoffs and bills of materials.

The role will focus on detailing and reviewing drawings, preparing bills of materials, and managing procurement needs for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings and bills of materials.
  • Use detailing software to model and detail steel components, including stairs, railings, embeds, and structural steel.
  • Generate and organize CNC files, bolt lists, BOM and fabrication-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and coordinated with other trades.

Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings and shop details to identify all materials, hardware, and consumables required for fabrication and installation.
  • Create accurate takeoffs and prepare purchase lists for materials.
  • Coordinate with approved vendors to request pricing, compare quotes, and prepare purchase orders.
  • Track material deliveries, lead times, and costs to ensure alignment with project timelines and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Software Proficiency: Tekla Structures or AutoCAD/Advance Steel (required).
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Excel (required). Familiarity with Revit or Tekla EPM (FabSuite) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
