Job Title: Manager MEL

The Manager - Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) will lead the development of a robust monitoring and evaluation framework in a dynamic project operations environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Engagement & Research Design:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and participate in technical discussions to define research objectives and methodologies for both qualitative and quantitative studies.

  • Indicator Identification & Evaluation:

Lead the process of identifying, evaluating, and finalizing key performance indicators and research objectives aligned with project goals.

  • Proposal Development:

Design and develop comprehensive proposals for Monitoring & Evaluation, Impact Assessment, and Need Assessment studies, including frameworks, procedures, data collection tools, and questionnaires.

  • Capacity Building:

Develop training programs and capacity building initiatives to ensure clarity on methodologies, tools, and ethical guidelines for data collection teams.

  • Tool Development & Digitalization:

Oversee tool translation, finalization of skip patterns, and validation checks, and ensure seamless conversion of paper-based questionnaires into digital formats such as CAPI or other suitable platforms.

  • Implementation & Execution:

Drive the execution of MEL activities as per project requirements, ensuring timely data collection, adherence to protocols, and efficient field operations.

  • Data Management & Analysis:

Supervise data review processes, including cleaning, validation, and analysis, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of datasets.

  • Reporting:

Prepare high-quality reports, translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders and corporate partners.

  • Consultant & Stakeholder Management:

Effectively manage external consultants and internal teams as required, fostering collaboration, performance tracking, and alignment with project objectives.
