New Product Development Project EngineerWe are seeking a proactive new product development lead to oversee projects from concept to production.
About the Role:
- Leverage your experience in managing new product development projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Drive project progress by proactively resolving any issues and overseeing the entire project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
- Develop preliminary costing and prepare proposals based on client samples.
- Analyze sales performance vs. targets and support commercial strategies.
- Manage RFQ processes and cost estimations.
- Lead operations teams and solve daily production challenges.
- Promote new product and tooling development.
- Guide cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Develop new client relationships from initial inquiry to production start-up.
- Oversight of factory operations to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, plastics, industrial engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in NPD, ideally in toy plastic or plastics manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of plastic moulding processes, tooling, and production techniques.
- Experience in preliminary costing and client proposals.
- Solid knowledge of production processes, plastic materials, machinery, and printing processes.
- Skilled in product costing, BOM preparation, and budgeting.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in client engagement and business development is a plus.
