Merchandiser Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Merchandiser to oversee the end-to-end merchandising process in woven garments. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between buyers, suppliers, and the production team, requiring strong coordination, costing knowledge, and ability to deliver products that meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

  • The successful candidate will work closely with the Design team to develop seasonal collections based on customer requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include developing samples, negotiating prices, and confirming orders with buyers.
  • Additionally, they will be responsible for managing material orders within timelines while improving budget and costs.
  • A strong attention to detail, independent work ethic, adaptability, and technical know-how of woven garment manufacturing are essential.
  • Leveraging excellent leadership/management experience, communication skills, and ownership is crucial to drive results.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Textiles / Apparel Merchandising / Fashion Technology or equivalent. We are looking for candidates with 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).

  • A strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes is necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems is also required.
