Job Title: AS400 System Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled AS/400 system support specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have experience with IBM AS/400 systems, including COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, and CLLE programming languages.

  • Critical skills include proficiency in COBOL programming, as well as understanding of business application purposes and overall processes/functions they support.
  • Familiarity with system architecture diagrams, including interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems, is essential.

The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of various AS400 environments, OS levels, and database versions, as well as technologies used such as DB2 databases, CL commands, and communication protocols specific to AS400.

A successful walkthrough of complex code modules, integration with other systems, monitoring setup, compliance requirements, and support scope documentation will be crucial for this role.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in COBOL programming language

  • Familiarity with system architecture diagrams and interface mechanisms
