Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Specialist to join our India-based development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data persistence approaches in modern software architectures, gained in a software development environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects and engineers to design and architect the data aspects of our future modernized product architecture. They will also provide expertise on database management systems and ensure that our data approach is well-documented and compliant with industry standards.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes:

  • Designing and building out the data persistence aspects of our future SAAS product architecture
  • Upgrading Development and Customer databases
  • Ensuring privacy, security, performance, efficiency, and high availability in our product
  • Working closely with scrum teams to complete data tasks alongside product development

About the Role

This role requires a broad and deep understanding of data persistence approaches, including SQL and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile and iterative development environments and be comfortable problem-solving in complex data environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise on database management systems
  • Ensure data approach is well-documented and compliant with industry standards
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to design and architect the data aspects of our future modernized product architecture
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Broad and deep experience of data persistence approaches in modern software architectures
  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience working in Agile and iterative development environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills in complex data environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL data designs
  • Experience with popular databases such as MSSQL, Aurora/Postgres, DynamoDB
  • Experience with build technologies such as source code versioning (e.g., Git) and PowerShell scripting
