Internal Control Professional

We are seeking an experienced Internal Control Associate to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely reporting, and implementing corrective actions. They will also facilitate the completion of mandatory statutory and corporate reporting requirements, review adherence to GAAP and accounting standards, and assess all areas of risks to implement effective risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct independent on-site internal control reviews and ensure appropriate implementation of control processes and corrective actions.
  2. Undertake special projects to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation to strengthen internal controls while reducing inefficiencies and inaccuracies.
  3. Thoroughly assess all areas of risks and implement complete and effective risk management strategies across all functional areas.
  4. Facilitate the sharing of best practices across the region and support location management teams for operational and financial audits.
  5. Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documents to check compliance with GAAP and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant with more than 8 years of experience in internal audit/accounting audit/internal control roles, including at least 4 years in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to perform Process Audit and Month close review independently.
  • Outstanding knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be highly adaptable and able to work well with ambiguity.
