Key Accountabilities:
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting: Develop and manage comprehensive financial plans and forecasts to drive business growth and achievement.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycle, collaborating closely with senior leaders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Design and implement detailed financial models to forecast performance, identify trends, and assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support key business decisions.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports, highlighting variances against budget and forecasts.
  • Offer actionable recommendations for improving financial performance and achieving business objectives.
  • Business Partnering and Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance on key financial metrics, operational performance, and business strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with departmental leaders to ensure financial targets are met and identify opportunities for cost savings or process efficiencies.
  • Support financial modeling and scenario analysis to inform business cases for new initiatives or investments.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Implement and manage financial systems and tools that streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and controls, and support audit processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to ensure compliance with financial targets and strategic objectives.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the finance team.
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive organizational change and improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA is advantageous).
  • At least [X] years of experience in financial planning and analysis, finance, or a related role, with at least [X] years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Oracle, Adaptive Insights, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and KPIs.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems.
  • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., tech, manufacturing, healthcare) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Finance, etc.) is advantageous.
