Job Title

A highly skilled engineering professional is required to lead a team of engineers and Revit technicians in delivering projects with a focus on production and liaison with the WSP in India team.

  • Develop feasibility study reports that meet client requirements, reviewing them with the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • Collaborate with the WSP in India team to create design specifications that meet employer needs, agreeing on format and content, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Work with the Local CRC Head of Structures to define project scope and monitor its progress.
  • Clearly articulate building requirements and purposes with the Local CRC Head of Structures and the WSP in India team to facilitate detailed design.
  • Perform detailed design work according to client requirements, standard codes, QA, and technical reviews, obtaining sign-off from the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • Review and oversee calculation production, including QA and technical reviews.
  • Ensure project costing information is accurate and complete, keeping the WSP in India team informed about design progress.
  • Coordinate contract documents (drawings and specifications) and review input from team members.
  • Lead the design process, encouraging the team to deliver cost-effective solutions within agreed timelines.
  • Follow document control and QA processes for project work, ensuring proper documentation and filing, and coaching junior staff.
  • Manage a team of engineers and Revit technicians.
Key Competencies / Skills
  • Proven experience in building structure design, ideally with significant experience in a similar role or a good track record.
  • Strong presentation skills are required.
  • Familiarity with technical structural software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Fluency in English with excellent technical terminology knowledge.
  • Good management, communication, and technical skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team, depending on workload demands.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, and membership in an accredited engineering body.
  • British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is desirable.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience.
