Workday Support Consultant Role Overview

The role of a Workday Support Consultant is critical in providing functional and technical support for the Workday platform. This includes managing day-to-day support requests, ensuring system stability, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives across HR, Payroll, Finance, or other Workday modules in scope.

You will be responsible for providing Level 2/Level 3 support to Workday users, resolving incidents and service requests in a timely manner. This also involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Workday integrations and business processes.

In addition, you will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to understand business requirements and provide Workday solutions. This may involve configuration changes, enhancements, and release management, as well as conducting impact assessments for Workday updates and new functionality.

Effective communication skills are crucial in this role, as you will be required to prepare and maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles, process flows, and support procedures. You will also be responsible for providing user training and guidance as needed.

Compliance with data security, privacy, and audit requirements is essential, and you will be expected to ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience working with Workday in a support or consulting capacity.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of at least two Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Finance, Absence, Time Tracking).
  • Experience supporting Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio).
  • Familiarity with Workday security, reporting, and calculated fields.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote teams.
