Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Director to lead our technical teams in driving innovation and excellence.

This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in software development, technical leadership, and platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java technologies, experience in building secure platforms, and a proven track record of successfully delivering functionally rich, high-performance, scalable, and multi-tenant platforms.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to maintain a 'big picture' focus, and lead engineering teams in a rapidly evolving technology marketplace. They will also have a passion for building applications that are sensitive to memory, bandwidth, latency, and tough performance constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to the engineering team.
  • Develop and implement strategies for delivering innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Leverage expertise in Java technologies to build secure and scalable platforms.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development and technical leadership.
  • Strong background in Java technologies, including Java/J2ee, JavaScript, XML, DOM/SAX Parsers, Swing, HTML, CSS, HTTP/s, C++, JBoss, JSP, EJB 2.0, Struts 2.0, Servlets, Kodo (ORM), JMS, RMI, Quartz, ANT, Drools, various file systems, XML, DB (SQL, Oracle, DB2), DMS, Web Services, LDAP integration.
  • Experience in building secure platforms and delivering functionally rich, high-performance, scalable, and multi-tenant platforms.
  • Proven track record of success in bringing innovative software products to market.

Skills:

  • Java/J2ee, JavaScript, XML, DOM/SAX Parsers, Swing, HTML, CSS, HTTP/s, C++, JBoss, JSP, EJB 2.0, Struts 2.0, Servlets, Kodo (ORM), JMS, RMI, Quartz, ANT, Drools, various file systems, XML, DB (SQL, Oracle, DB2), DMS, Web Services, LDAP integration.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling. Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerant designs.
