Localization and Mapping Expert

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Localization and Mapping Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting multi-modal SLAM systems that utilize visual-inertial, LiDAR, and multi-sensor fusion. Your work will also involve building scalable map stores, implementing change detection, and supporting lifelong mapping.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust SLAM systems with tight integration with perception and planning modules.
  • Develop efficient map management strategies to ensure seamless navigation in various environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy SLAM in real-world robotic systems.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in SLAM or related domains.
  • Strong programming skills in C++/Rust and CUDA.
  • Familiarity with factor graphs, optimization, and observability analysis.
  • Ability to ensure robustness to dynamics, low-texture environments, and varying lighting/weather conditions.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with multi-robot SLAM and cloud mapping.
  • Knowledge of GNSS/RTK fusion.
  • Familiarity with HD maps and lane-level precision for automotive applications.
