Job Title: Enterprise GitLab Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise GitLab Specialist to join our team. As an expert in implementing and managing GitLab, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of our current infrastructure to determine the requirements for implementing GitLab.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • GitLab Management: Install, configure, and manage GitLab on servers, leveraging Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools to set up required infrastructure.
  • Integration and Security: Integrate GitLab with existing tools and services, configure security settings and access controls for GitLab, and implement best practices for version control, code review, and collaboration using GitLab.
  • Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development teams to ensure successful adoption of GitLab and contribute to all DevOps initiatives within the organization.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Advanced Security Features: Enable advanced security features such as DAST and API Fuzzing, create security and compliance policies on GitLab, and perform security hardening of the GitLab instance.
  • Data Management: Configure backups and disaster recovery plans for GitLab, implement Single Sign On authentication, and set up encryption of databases and software artefacts.
  • Deployment Operations: Set up monitoring and alerting for GitLab, configure data retention policies for GitLab, and contribute to deployment operations ensuring artefacts have been deployed successfully.
Requirements:
  • Strong Technical Skills: Proven experience in implementing and managing GitLab, with expertise in Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
