Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Data Solutions Expert to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business value through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, with experience in designing and implementing large-scale data systems, as well as expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

This role requires a deep understanding of data management ecosystems, including concepts of data warehousing, ETL, data integration, and authentication/authorization configuration for distributed systems.

The successful candidate will be able to lead technical discussions with customers, evangelize the benefits of Cloudera Enterprise Data Cloud, and participate in the pre- and post-sales process to interpret customer use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide data architectures and configurations for customers.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, advising them on their data strategy, use case success criteria, and frameworks to deliver successful implementations.
  • Participate in the pre- and post-sales process, helping sales, professional services management, and product teams interpret customer use cases.
  • Use your deep domain knowledge to assist customers in defining their data strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and driving professional services engagements.
  • Mentor junior consultants and architects, helping them develop their skills and expertise.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in data architecture, with a strong background in big data technologies such as Hadoop and cloud platforms.
  • Deep understanding of data management ecosystems, including concepts of data warehousing, ETL, data integration, and authentication/authorization configuration for distributed systems.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand commercial business cases that drive customer data platform initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to a wide range of audiences.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodology and automation tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Jenkins.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience implementing machine learning algorithms using R or TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with scripting tools like bash shell scripts, Python, or Perl.
  • Knowledge of BI tools and Data Science notebooks like Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Apache Zeppelin, Jupyter, or IBM Watson Studio.
