We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer & Procurement Specialist to support our operations. This role will focus on detailing and reviewing drawings, preparing bills of materials, and managing procurement needs for our projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings and bills of materials. They will use detailing software (Tekla Structures, AutoCAD/Advance Steel, or similar) to model and detail steel components including stairs, railings, embeds, and structural steel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings and bills of materials.">
  • Use detailing software to model and detail steel components.">
  • Generate and organize CNC files, bolt lists, BOM and fabrication-ready documentation.">
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and coordinated with other trades.">
  • Review drawings and shop details to identify all materials, hardware, and consumables required for fabrication and installation.">
  • Create accurate takeoffs and prepare purchase lists for materials.">
  • Coordinate with approved vendors to request pricing, compare quotes, and prepare purchase orders.">
  • Track material deliveries, lead times, and costs to ensure alignment with project schedules.">

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of structural and architectural steel fabrication. They must be able to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings. Experience preparing takeoffs and bills of materials from shop drawings is essential.

  • Software proficiency: Tekla Structures or AutoCAD/Advance Steel (required).">
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Excel (required). Familiarity with Revit or Tekla EPM (FabSuite) a plus.">
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).">
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.">
  • Prior experience working with U.S.-based construction or fabrication companies preferred.">
