Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to oversee our Accounting team. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 members, overseeing their day-to-day operations and resolving queries and problems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage End to end IC process, supervise the team and oversee day-to-day activities.
  • Understand the IC accounting process and learn the IC balances elimination logics set in Oracle FCCS.
  • Review Month End activities performed by the IC team, including handling billing for IC transactions of US entities, reviewing Global IC BS and P&L Variances, and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve global IC variances.
  • Post top-side entry in Oracle FCCS for high-value variances that remain open at ME.
  • Review BS reconciliation of IC GLs in detail, ensuring all necessary backups are available and well documented, and provide feedback to team members with required action plans.
  • Timely and effectively follow-up with global Controllers on any pending data/open queries.
  • Handle queries from Audit and Tax teams from time to time.
  • Provide solutions to multiple stakeholders on ad-hoc and regular queries.
  • Establish effective communication between the team and stakeholders.
  • Process Improvisation:
  • Standardize the IC process and assign end-to-end activities to team members to enhance their business knowledge.
  • Identify potential solutions to automate manual activities via transformation projects.
  • Strategize plans to achieve team goals in a timely manner within the stipulated time frame.
  • IC Process Documentation & Cross Training:
  • Improved Standard Operating Procedures with detailed steps and created backup layer for business continuity planning.
  • Team Management:
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics to ensure efficiency and document the same to make accurate reports and discover training needs and provide coaching.
  • Manage the schedule and delegate tasks to team members effectively.
  • Provide guidance to team members on active projects.
  • Intercompany Accounting (RTR) in-depth knowledge is required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified Accountant – 8+ years of work experience in Finance Controllership/Consolidations, Inter-Company Accounting.
  • Thorough knowledge of Consolidations accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in handling Inter company accounting/IC ledger reviews/reconciliations etc.
  • Month end close experience is required.
  • Transformation projects experience will be an add-on.
  • Team handling experience is required.
  • End to end process knowledge of intercompany process.
  • Experience in handling multiple stakeholders from different global regions.

IS Skills:

  • Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & QAD).
  • Consolidation Platform Experience (Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Tagetik, Trintech etc.)- Good to Have.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Blackline- Good to Have.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to communicate strongly and influence.
