Senior Medical Coding Director

 

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in medical coding and team management, with over 17+ years of experience. They must be certified from AAPC or AHIMA and have excellent leadership capabilities, client handling skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare and medical coding industry.

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily operations including workload, staffing, hiring, training, and quality control.
  • Develops long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs for implementation.
  • Evaluation of innovations and changes in policies and procedures.
  • Implementation of systems and methods to improve data accessibility, identifying and resolving problems, and preparing administrative reports.
  • Compliance program oversight and monitoring, educational and training programs development regarding coding compliance elements.
  • Dissemination and communication of regulatory, policy, and guideline changes.
  • Coding audit efforts and monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy.
  • Reporting non-compliance issues, corrective action plans, and follow-up audit results.

 

Requirements
  • Education: Any Graduate (Preferably Life Science background)
  • Experience: 17+ years of experience in Multispecialty Coding and substantial team management experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Strong managerial, leadership, analytical, interpersonal skills and Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Hands on Experience in generating reports using MS Office - Excel, word and MS power point.
