**Senior Medical Coding Manager Position Available**

This is a high-level management position in our Multispecialty Coding Services team. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee daily coding operations, including workload and staffing, performance appraisals, training, and quality monitoring.

About the Role
  • We need someone who can develop long-term and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs for implementation.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in planning, developing, and controlling budgetary aspects of the coding unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily coding unit operations, including workload and staffing, hiring, performance appraisals, training, and quality monitoring.
  • Develop long-term and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs for implementation.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and controlling the budget, including staffing costs, capital equipment, and operations of the coding unit.
  • Evaluate innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures for the coding unit.
  • Design and implement systems and methods to improve data accessibility, identify and resolve problems, and prepare administrative reports.
  • Oversee and monitor coding compliance programs, develop educational and training programs regarding coding compliance.
  • Ensure dissemination and communication of regulatory, policy, and guideline changes.
  • Conduct and oversee coding audit efforts and coordinate monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy.
  • Report non-compliance issues detected through auditing and monitoring.
  • Conduct trend analyses to identify patterns and variations in coding practices.
  • Review claim denials and rejections pertaining to coding and medical necessity issues.
Requirements
  • 17+ years of experience in Multispecialty Coding and substantial team management experience.
  • Certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong managerial, leadership, analytical, interpersonal skills, and Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience in generating reports using MS Office - Excel, Word, and MS PowerPoint.
