Job Title: Data Protection Expert

About the Role

A seasoned professional is required to spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data protection framework at AMBC Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a data protection framework aligned with compliance requirements like GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map regulatory requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Conduct thorough privacy impact assessments (PIA) and data protection impact assessments (DPIA) to identify potential risks.
  • Develop and update security and privacy policies, procedures, best practices, and notices to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate applications, vendors, infrastructure, cloud services, and processes for compliance with security and privacy requirements.
  • Provide remediation recommendations, including technical solutions, for identified gaps.
  • Support incident management processes related to data breaches, provide recommendations, assist in mitigation plan preparation, and support incident closure.
  • Prepare training materials and deliver training on maintaining necessary data protection standards during data collection, storage, processing, and destruction.
  • Collaborate in the development of data classification guidelines to ensure accurate categorization of sensitive information.
  • Create policies for data classification and classify data according to established guidelines.
  • Understand business operations, analyze the data life cycle, and create data flow maps to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Implement data leakage prevention tools based on defined business, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure assurance regarding Data Loss Prevention and monitoring tools, efforts, and related investigations and remediation actions.
  • Assist in identifying and creating an inventory of sensitive information stored, processed, or transmitted internally and externally.

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good project and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate and correlate.
  • Sound technical knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel within India or abroad.

Education Requirements:

  • BE/MBA/MCA/MCA or equivalent degree.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience in a professional consultancy firm is preferred.
  • Certifications: CIPT, CIPM, CIPP, CDPSE, DPO, CISSP, CISM, CISA are desirable.

Estimated Salary: ₹1,250,000 - ₹1,750,000 per annum.
