Bakery Commis: Essential Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an exceptional Bakery Commis to join our team. As a key member of the bakery department, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing a wide range of baked goods, from bread and pastries to cakes and desserts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and finish bakery items as per recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in new recipe trials and product development.
  • Maintain uniformity in taste, texture, and presentation of bakery products.

Unit Operations:

  • Manage daily bakery operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
  • Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages to the procurement team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery unit.

Quality, Hygiene, and Safety:

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards, FSSAI norms, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular checks to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.

Team Support:

  • Supervise and guide junior staff in bakery tasks.
  • Work in coordination with kitchen and cafe teams for order fulfillment.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Maintain baking logs, production sheets, and wastage reports.
  • Adhere to company SOPs and audit requirements.
