Cloud Support Engineer Job Description

The role of a Cloud Support Engineer involves providing expert-level technical support to clients using cloud-based services. This includes troubleshooting and resolving issues related to server infrastructure, networking, and productivity software.

Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, delivering remote support services, handling end-to-end migration of applications and infrastructure to the cloud, and providing support for Office 365 services including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting printer setups across various network environments, implementing and troubleshooting networking solutions, administering Active Directory environments, and configuring and optimizing Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) for secure remote access.

  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud support and administration will be an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server operating systems (2019/2022) and Active Directory management.
  • Experience with printer setup and troubleshooting across different network configurations.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Ability to provide effective remote support to clients demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and customer-centric attitude.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate would be a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical users.
