Procurement Specialist

Our organization seeks an experienced Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (F&V) across various sources, including Collection Centres, Mandis, and National suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and implement efficient procurement plans for optimal F&V flow across states.
  • Collaborate closely with product heads and strategic location in-charges to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain robust Management Information Systems (MIS) to track procurement costs, inventory requirements, and order tracking.
  • Consolidate inventory needs in coordination with merchandising teams and manage purchase orders, sign-offs, and order placements.
  • Optimize truck loads and improve F&V handling practices to reduce waste.
  • Ensure procurement plans are in place for all demanded Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) within the state.
  • Minimize customer complaints by sourcing high-quality produce and implementing effective quality assurance measures.
  • Conduct surprise visits to Mandis to verify wholesale prices and ensure integrity of declared purchase prices.
