Lead Wholesale Risk Model Development Team

The key objective of this role is to oversee the development and implementation of wholesale risk models, ensuring their accuracy and effectiveness in managing credit risk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Risk Model Development: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end processes for developing, validating, and managing wholesale rating models.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a team of modelers and consultants, driving capability building and continuous learning within the team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparent development practices and governance readiness.

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in risk management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of risk management concepts and methodologies, as well as experience in developing and implementing risk policy frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics, with hands-on experience in developing and validating wholesale rating models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python, data analysis and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of relevant tools or platforms (e.g., SAS, SQL, visualization tools).
  • Hold a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Passionate about risk management and advancing the science of credit risk modeling, with excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
