Job Title: Senior Legal Strategist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Strategist to join our organization. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop and implement strategic legal frameworks that support our real estate business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on legal, regulatory and compliance matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with external counsel as necessary to advise on civil/criminal matters.
- Analyze complex policies, legal and regulatory issues to prepare high-quality submissions, reviews and recommendations.
- Lead and monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department's service in day-to-day operations.
- Ensure policy, legal and regulatory compliance and identify, minimize and manage risk.
- Assess and respond to changes in the operating environment that impact legislation, legal, policy and regulatory frameworks.
Liaison Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Business Development Team to de-risk land/real estate acquisition processes.
- Conduct legal due diligence on property acquisitions and attend meetings with property owners, developers and stakeholders.
- Prepare documents for property acquisitions and issue public notices.
- Collaborate with the CRM Team to handle customer complaints and maintain excellent customer service experience.
- Participate in discussions to develop strategies for large-scale acquisitions and work with the accounts department to process fee bills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- LLB degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in handling legal matters as a practicing Attorney-at-Law or in a corporate environment.
