Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Systems Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at LAIA India, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing the mechanical systems and robots that form the backbone of our Last Mile Logistics (LML) System. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and build robots from scratch for automated goods transportation and warehousing.
  • Create prototypes, fabricate components, and assemble robotic systems, ensuring high-quality and reliable performance.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS) to create detailed mechanical designs and schematics for robotic systems and components.
  • Work closely with electronics and robotics engineers to integrate mechanical components with electronic control systems.
  • Conduct tests and validation procedures to ensure the mechanical integrity and performance of robotic systems.
  • Optimize mechanical designs for performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of designs, tests, and procedures.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on robotics.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with kinematics, dynamics, and control of robotic systems.
Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and CNC machining.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum
