About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Risk Security Assessor to join our Information Security department at Allstate Technology & Strategic Ventures (ATSV). As a key contributor, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's efforts to identify, assess, and evaluate security risks through business-as-usual cyclical assessments and ad hoc consultations.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments at the network, systems, platforms, and application level, ensuring a deep understanding of information security best practices and risk assessment methodologies.
  2. Collaborate with internal information security and business representatives to scope assessments, gather documentation, interview clients, identify risks, document findings, and ensure transparent management of risks by following a structured risk assessment methodology.
  3. Drive the company's efforts to proactively identify, assess, and communicate information security risks to leadership and the board, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
  4. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Cyber programs, including Threat Management, Secure SDLC, Security Architecture, Network, and Data Protection.
  5. Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to overcome barriers to success, build professional relationships, brief senior leaders, and mentor others.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of IT experience in infrastructure or development, with a strong background in Cyber Risk Assessments.
  • Experience with information security risk management frameworks, assessments, audits, and controls based on industry standard frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO, HiTrust, FAIR).
  • Experience with regulatory requirements (PCI, GDPR, HIPPA, CCPA, etc.) and various tools and technologies in support of the assessment/audit process (RSA Archer, Qualys, Bitsight, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate Allstate security policies, standards, and risks to both technical and business audiences.
