Job Role

The finance team forms the backbone of our business operations. It has evolved from an internal accounting setup to a major function supporting all areas of the organization, including financial impact assessments and growth opportunities.

When you join our finance team, you'll have the opportunity to interact with various departments within the company.

The Financial Manager is primarily responsible for accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and timely audits and statutory filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and ensure compliance requirements with US and India GAAP, as well as local Tax and Accounting regulations.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements, analyze financial results, and manage risk.
  • Act as the main point of contact for our accounting partner, overseeing daily tasks and reviewing monthly financial records.
  • Coordinate with the accounting partner to finalize financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and suggest corrections for accounting records maintained by external vendors.
  • Drive accounting operations for procure-to-pay processes, including expense management and balance sheet transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial statement disclosures and support annual and periodic audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks.
  • In-depth understanding of India and US GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the SaaS business model and key metrics.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present complex concepts effectively.

Experience:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Prior experience working at a funded start-up or in a similar industry is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in hiring and performing annual appraisals is a plus.
