As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in building and scaling modern financial data platforms. Your expertise in data engineering will be crucial in developing and optimizing data warehouse solutions in Snowflake for finance and accounting workloads.

  • Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake for finance and accounting workloads by leveraging your knowledge of database design principles and software development methodologies.
  • Build and maintain dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows by ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes by utilizing data integration tools and techniques.

You will work closely with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions, drive project delivery, and foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Snowflake Data Engineering: Ensure performance and scalability for finance and accounting workloads by monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations.
  • dbt Development: Enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows by designing and implementing data pipelines, maintaining data quality, and ensuring data security.
  • Financial Systems Integration: Support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes by integrating data from various sources, automating data processing, and providing timely insights to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Demonstrated ability to apply mathematical and scientific concepts to solve complex problems.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems. Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong SQL development skills with focus on efficiency and maintainability. Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and database administration.
  • Experience working with financial or accounting data, translating business requirements into data pipelines. Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
