Job Title

The Operations Manager role involves overseeing the delivery of KPIs and KRIs related to Private Banking Operations. This includes motivating and leading a team of 50-75 people, transitioning work from an offshore location to stabilize it as a BAU function by closely interacting with multiple stakeholders within the bank.

Responsibilities:
  • Create a strong governance environment with clear direction for driving efficiency and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Review processes to develop plans for making the organization efficient through standardization and automation.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive this journey together and build partnerships.
  • Eliminate redundancies, automate repeatable tasks, and reduce variation.
  • Provide direction to both Run the Bank and Change the Bank organization to move towards a data-driven approach with the right operational control.
  • Plan and design resourcing strategies to manage work volumes and support succession planning for key team members.
Key Objectives and KPIs:
  1. Define key objectives and KPIs for each team within the organization.
  2. Provide guidance and leadership to enable teams to achieve these KPIs.
  3. Motivate, support, and develop staff to enhance their ability to adapt to a continuously evolving business environment.
  4. Build next-level leadership by identifying and coaching potential successors.
  5. Regularly assess team members' development and provide training, cross-training, and other opportunities for growth.
Requirements:

This role requires extensive hands-on operating and domain experience in banking and financial operations, including German language proficiency. The ideal candidate should have led a considerable team size covering various functions within banking and financial operations space, with exposure to managing stakeholders and pushing back when necessary.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, German language proficiency (B2-C1), and a strong risk background culture are also essential. Ability to understand and analyze complex problems and provide effective tactical and strategic solutions is critical.
