Geospatial Web Application Developer

We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Web Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and GIS technologies, with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining geospatial web applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating robust GIS-based web applications using Python frameworks such as Django or Flask, integrating spatial data with front-end and back-end systems, and ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain GIS-based web applications utilizing Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Design and implement dynamic, interactive GIS maps using GeoPandas, Shapely, and Folium libraries.
  • Integrate geospatial data with databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MySQL, MongoDB) and RESTful APIs.
  • Automate geospatial data processing workflows using ArcPy, Fiona, and PyQGIS libraries.
  • Build responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and GIS analysts to productionize geospatial models and visualizations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong proficiency in Python.
  • GIS Technologies and Python Libraries: Expertise in GeoPandas, Shapely, Fiona, ArcPy, or PyQGIS.
  • Front-End Technologies: Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Database Technologies: Familiarity with PostgreSQL with PostGIS for geospatial data.
  • Data Integration: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and data integration from various sources.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
