Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Indirect Tax Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
  • Prepare advises, opinions, and compliance reports.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, seminars, etc.
  • Analyze client data for estimating tax impact on business transactions.
  • Build scenarios for identifying the most tax-efficient business model.
  • Contribute to articles, monographs, etc.

Client Service Delivery/Execution:

  • Identify and discuss technical issues with clients while considering firm risk.
  • Handle tax matters, including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals, etc., meeting with tax authorities, representation during appeals, etc.
  • Execute work on multiple clients, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Develop relationships with middle management levels.

Commercial Acumen:

  • Stay up-to-date on firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Apply this knowledge to deliver solutions to clients and add value to their experience.

Networking & Opportunities:

  • Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate them to managers.
  • Network internally within peer groups and other levels to gain understanding of client issues.
  • Compile legal databases and contribute to study sessions, continuously updating with the latest legal developments.

Strong Knowledge Base:

  • Stay current with the latest developments in tax and other laws.
  • Contribute to knowledge management activities within the firm.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and researching skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Experience and Education:

  • CA or Law Graduate from a reputable institution with a strong academic record.
  • 0-2 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax in litigation or advisory. Prior experience in GST and/or customs is preferred.
