Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated mechanical design engineer to join our Electrification team. The primary focus of this role is the design and development of inverter systems and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop and lead the mechanical design of inverter assemblies and components from concept through to production, ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability.">
  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles to guarantee design intent and production feasibility.">
  • Conduct creepage and clearance analysis to ensure compliance with high-voltage safety standards.">
  • Analyze tolerance stack-up to validate design robustness and predict potential issues.">
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using 3Dx or equivalent CAD software, incorporating necessary revisions and updates.">
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers to achieve project goals.">
  • Support design reviews, DFMEAs, and validation planning, providing valuable insights and recommendations.">
  • Ensure that designs meet established performance, cost, and timing targets, driving continuous improvement.">

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrate proven experience in mechanical design of inverter systems or similar high-voltage power electronics.">
  • possess strong knowledge of GD&T, creepage and clearance, and tolerance analysis.">
  • Show proficiency in 3Dx or equivalent 3D CAD software.">
  • Understand materials, manufacturing processes, and design for assembly concepts.">
  • Holding experience working in an automotive or high-voltage environment is advantageous.">
