Data Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Data Solutions Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance data pipelines that support our business needs.

  • Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to optimize data delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create optimal data lake architectures.
  • Assemble large and complex data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
  • Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL.
  • Expertise in advanced SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Perform root cause analysis to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years' experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering.
  • Proficiency in EMR, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, MSK, Elasticsearch, Quicksight, and Redshift.
  • Knowledge of big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with scripting languages: Python, Scala, etc.
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming.
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data stores.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Preferred qualifications include immediate availability and experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and machine learning concepts/algorithms.
