Job Title: US Tax Manager

The role of a US Tax Manager is to play a key part in expanding our tax outsourcing services, specifically targeting CPA firms across the United States. They will be responsible for reviewing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, as well as overseeing the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review corporate, partnership, individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Oversee the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients, providing expert advice on tax planning and optimization
  • Develop relationships with staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Ensure that Seniors and Staff are up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law, promoting ongoing professional development
  • Provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff, guiding them in their roles and responsibilities
  • Attentive participation in US Corporate Tax training modules and on-the-job trainings, staying current with industry developments and best practices
  • Able to prepare a simple, straight-forward Business or Individual Income Tax Return, demonstrating strong technical skills
  • Preparation of form 1040 federal tax return and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Thorough review of document and application of any changes in tax rates, tax laws for US tax return preparation, guaranteeing accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify any technical issues on the engagements and bring it to the notice of the lead to reach the desired resolution, resolving complex problems effectively
  • Able to transfer the income and expenses, and assets and liabilities into a tax return format, to ensure that the Book-To-Tax Reconciliation is properly prepared and in balance, showcasing analytical skills
  • Able to successfully navigate Tax Technology used for tax returns, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Preparation of US (Federal/State) Corporate, Partnership tax returns (Form 1120/1065, etc), meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
  • Preparation of US International compliance tax forms (Form 5471/8858/8865, etc), demonstrating expertise in international taxation
  • Validate data and analysis for accuracy and relevance, maintaining high standards of quality and integrity
  • Utilize available tax technical resources to enhance US tax knowledge, staying current with industry developments and best practices
  • Keep up-to-date with technical developments for business area, promoting ongoing professional development and growth
  • Responsible for self-review of deliverables before handing them to Senior / Assistant Manager, ensuring quality and attention to detail
  • Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and able to manage time effectively, delivering results under pressure
