As an influential leader in Potters Solutions Pvt Ltd’s Food & Grocery Delivery vertical, the Team Lead - Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless delivery processes, exceptional customer experiences, and efficient partner management. This role will involve managing logistics, optimizing delivery performance, streamlining workflows, and maintaining high service standards for both restaurant/grocery partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute operational strategies to meet business objectives, focusing on improving delivery performance, order accuracy, and partner satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of operations coordinators, delivery agents, and logistics personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Logistics & Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, from order placement to fulfillment, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing operational delays. Optimize delivery routes and resource allocation.
  • Performance Optimization: Use data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and delivery agent efficiency to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
  • Delivery Agent Management: Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of delivery agents. Establish best practices for on-boarding, safety, and performance management to ensure efficient and reliable service.
  • Fleet & Resource Management: Oversee the effective management of delivery resources, including fleet vehicles, inventory, and delivery personnel. Ensure that all delivery resources are maintained and utilized efficiently.
  • Vendor & Partner Relationships: Work closely with restaurant and grocery store partners to ensure that operations are aligned, inventory is managed effectively, and orders are processed smoothly.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the delivery process and implement automation, technology solutions, or workflow changes to drive operational excellence.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the customer service team to address and resolve any issues related to delivery operations. Monitor feedback and ensure continuous improvement in customer experience.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all local regulations and industry standards related to food handling, delivery safety, and operational laws. Implement safety protocols for delivery agents and warehouse staff.
  • Operational Scaling: Develop scalable operational processes to support business growth and market expansion. Lead the expansion of operations into new cities or regions.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management: (If applicable) Oversee inventory control, warehousing, and supply chain logistics to ensure the timely availability of goods and fulfillment of orders.
  • Cost Management: Control and optimize operational costs, including delivery expenses, labor, and supply chain costs. Drive initiatives to improve the profitability of operations.

This role is ideal for an individual with experience in managing delivery operations and logistics who is passionate about improving efficiency, scaling operations, and delivering exceptional service in the food and grocery delivery space.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in food delivery, e-commerce, or last-mile logistics.
    • Proven track record of leading and scaling operational teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in managing large teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency with logistics and operations management tools, such as routing software, fleet management systems, or warehouse management systems.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize competing deadlines.

  • Experience in the food and grocery delivery industry or last-mile logistics.
  • Familiarity with automation and technology solutions for delivery and logistics optimization.
