Senior Data Architect

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in designing and developing data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.

This is a senior technical role requiring high expectations, efficient delivery, and team-driven productivity.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who ensures efficiency in their own work while helping the wider team become more productive and technically stronger.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable data architectures leveraging Azure and Databricks.
  • Hands-on work with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Build and manage enterprise-level ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, and other Azure services.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Databricks features to accelerate data delivery.
  • Optimize Spark, SQL, and Python code for performance and scalability.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to ensure a robust and maintainable data ecosystem.
  • Mentor team members to improve overall team capabilities.
  • Deliver in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround expectations.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years in Data Architecture with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure & Databricks.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Databricks (Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Workflows, Databricks Asset Bundles, MLflow basics, unity catalog)
  • Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL)
  • Python, SQL, Spark (with proven performance optimization skills)
  • Deep knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, governance).
  • Proven track record of efficient delivery and accelerating team execution.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with AI-driven development (e.g., Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding and improve productivity.
  • Exposure to Generative AI in Databricks (LLMOps, Model Serving) – desirable.
