Software Test Engineer

Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and experienced Software Test Engineer with a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing strategies, automation development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs to guarantee their functionality and usability.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems to ensure timely resolution and prevent reoccurring issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines to automate testing and ensure faster time-to-market.
  • Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar to validate API functionality and integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to facilitate team collaboration and process improvement.
  • Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective to ensure they meet testing standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or similar to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured to create automated API tests.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes to ensure high-quality testing and defect prevention.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches to adapt to changing testing needs and priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing projects to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments to adapt to iterative development and continuous delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications to demonstrate expertise and knowledge in software testing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Knowledge of security testing principles to identify vulnerabilities and ensure application security.
