Strategic Finance Leader Job

The successful candidate will be a strategic finance leader who drives financial growth and stability at an organization. This individual will be responsible for leading the finance function with a focus on strategic planning, controllership, investor relations, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning the integrity of financial statements, profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flows is critical.
  • Timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing and reporting must be ensured.
  • Internal financial controls, risk management, and compliance need to be strengthened.
  • Implementation of robust accounting practices and ERP systems will be overseen.
  • Statutory, internal, and tax audits will be managed.
Financial Planning & Business Development:
  • Long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting will be led.
  • Partnership with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth plans, and capital allocation will be formed.
  • Initiatives to improve profitability, unit economics, and return on investment will be driven.
Finance Operations:
  • Daily finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll will be overseen.
  • Tax compliance (GST, TDS, income tax) and regulatory adherence will be ensured.
  • Review and approval of all financial processes, reconciliations, and vendor payments will be performed.
Fundraising & Investor Relations:
  • Support for equity and debt fundraising efforts will be provided.
  • Building investor confidence through transparent and timely reporting will be facilitated.
  • Leadership of financial due diligence, board reporting, and investor communication will be undertaken.
Team Leadership:
  • Leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing finance and accounts team will be required.
  • A culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement will be fostered.

Requirements include: 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), strong background in finance controllership and compliance, and proven experience in high-growth start-ups or similar industries. We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for finance and leadership.
