Job Overview

The Chief Legal Manager will oversee all legal aspects of the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

This role involves managing a wide range of contracts, including supply and service agreements, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, tender and bidding documents, HR & admin-related service contracts, transmission and utility contracts, international contracts, NDAs, MOUs, standard T&Cs, and financing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Manage, review, and vet a wide range of contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Legal Advisory Services: Provide detailed legal opinions and guidance on diverse matters, including bidding strategy and compliance, right of way and land acquisition, transmission service agreements, share purchase agreements, indemnity claims, and contractual payment disputes.
  • Land and Title Due Diligence: Conduct land-related legal due diligence and title verification for project development, assessing risks associated with land procurement and right of way.
  • Bid Review and Support: Review final bid submissions for infrastructure projects, handle bid-related legal queries, and provide prompt clarifications to the bidding team to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Negotiation and Contract Finalization: Engage in direct negotiations with external stakeholders and counterparties, finalizing contracts by ensuring favorable legal positioning while maintaining business objectives.
