Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to develop and implement solutions for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of electronic devices and systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and regulatory agencies to implement EMC requirements.
  • Review electronic component datasheets and application notes for the development of EMC protection schemes.
  • Analyze schematics and circuit board layout for adherence to EMC design practices and guidelines.
  • Formulate system and circuit board level EMC protection strategies, including filtering and shielding.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure that electronic devices and systems meet EMI/EMC compliance standards.
  • Interpret EMC standards and regulations to develop test plans and procedures for compliance testing.
  • Conduct EMC testing and analysis on electronic products and systems to assess electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility.
  • Analyze test results, identify EMC issues, and recommend design modifications and mitigation strategies to achieve compliance.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in performance of EMI/EMC analyses and testing.
  • Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers.
  • Hands-on knowledge of RF and EMC standards, including FCC, CISPR-25, ECE-R10, AIS-004, IEC, and EN.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Sound understanding of ECUs driving brushed DC motors.
  • Knowledge of Passenger vehicle EE architecture.
