Purchasing Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day procurement operations processes, including purchase requisition to purchase order conversion, fixed asset creation and capitalization, initiating supplier re-certification, contract drafting, and system updates.
As a key member of the team, you will contribute to key performance metrics such as Service Level Agreement (SLA), quality, and efficiency. You will collaborate with category managers, accounts payable, vendor risk management office, corporate ethics and compliance teams, information security and privacy, and contingent workforce program team to drive issue resolution and process improvements.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and revising legal clauses, handling customer issues during the contract execution process, documenting processes, building and maintaining desktop procedures, analyzing data, and performing buyer activities.
You will create and publish regular reports for the team and represent the team on various internal forums. You will effectively manage customer relationships, resolve user queries, raise awareness of common pitfalls, conduct periodic or need-based reviews with key partners, and complete special projects.
To succeed in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in any subject area, with a master's degree being advantageous. A minimum of 5-7 years of validated experience in procurement operations with exposure to both product and services procurement is necessary.
A thorough understanding of procurement processes and experience with Purchase-to-Pay tools like Ariba/Coupa and Enterprise Resource Planning systems like SAP/Oracle are essential. Experience in contract drafting, collaborating with legal teams, and working with standard contract templates/boilerplates is an added advantage.
