Job Opportunity: Programme Leadership Position

A prominent organisation is seeking a highly skilled programme leader to oversee their portfolio of initiatives, focusing on designing, steering, and scaling impactful programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programme Planning & Strategy
    • Develop long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes, ensuring timely delivery in line with agreed goals.
    • Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to strengthen impact and programme outcomes.
  • Programme Management
    • Oversee select programme areas to ensure high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals.
    • Provide guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Partnership Development
    • Engage with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to strengthen programme outcomes and relationships.
    • Represent the organisation in external forums as required.
  • Team Support & Development
    • Provide mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles.
    • Encourage a collaborative culture that values learning, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Monitoring & Learning
    • Ensure effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies to improve programme delivery.
    • Support preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products to inform programme decisions.
  • Financial Oversight
    • Monitor utilisation and contribute inputs to budget planning in assigned programme areas.
    • Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline, along with at least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and team management skills, ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships, excellent communication and analytical abilities, demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results, and ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
